Wilde Element
Counselling ● Connection ● CreativityA space to reflect, explore & grow

About Us
Wilde Element is a counselling practice rooted in the belief that meaningful change begins when we feel safe enough to come back to ourselves. We created it as a space for thoughtful, honest, deeply human therapy. A place that offers time away from the noise of daily life and space to listen more closely to what is happening beneath the surface. Our work is integrative, relational, and somatically informed. We explore not only what has happened to you, but how those experiences have shaped the way you feel, relate, protect yourself, and move through the world. At Wilde Element, we believe healing is not about fixing what is broken. It is about understanding yourself more deeply, rediscovering your own strength, and finding greater acceptance for all parts of who you are.We work online or phone with clients and have appointments across evenings, weekends and weekdays.

What to Expect From Your First Session
Your first session is an opportunity to arrive just as you are. There is no need to prepare, know exactly what to say, or present yourself in a certain way.We will spend time understanding what has brought you to therapy, what life feels like for you right now, and what you hope therapy might offer. We will also explain how we work, answer any questions, and begin to find a pace that feels comfortable for you. Some people leave their first session feeling lighter. Others feel thoughtful, emotional, curious, or simply relieved to have begun. There is no right way to experience it. What matters most is that you feel heard, respected, and able to be yourself.Sessions take place online and we work with you to create a therapeutic space that feels comfortable, grounded, and supportive of your needs. How we workOur work is collaborative, relational, and led by you.
We do not believe in one size fits all therapy. Instead, we draw from a range of approaches, including humanistic, psychodynamic, somatic, and creative ways of working, depending on what feels useful for you. Some sessions may involve talking and reflection. Others might focus more closely on emotions, bodily sensations, imagery, relationships, patterns, or creative exploration. You will never be expected to work in a particular way. Therapy unfolds at your pace.We bring care, curiosity, warmth, and respect to the work, while creating space for honesty, challenge, vulnerability, humour, and whatever else needs to be present. The aim is not to turn you into a different person. It is to help you understand yourself more deeply, feel more connected to who you are, and have greater freedom in how you move through your life.

You don’t need to know exactly what you want to talk about before coming to therapy. You might know that something doesn’t feel right, that you’re exhausted from holding everything together, or that somewhere along the way you’ve lost touch with yourself. You may have been carrying something for years, or perhaps life has changed and you are no longer sure how to make sense of where you are now.Whatever brings you here, you do not need to have the right words.I offer a warm, down to earth and compassionate space where we can explore what is happening together, at a pace that feels manageable for you. My role is not to analyse you from a distance or tell you how you should live your life. I see therapy as a collaborative process, built on trust, curiosity and genuine human connection.I don’t see healing as fixing something that is broken. I see it as rediscovering your own strength, developing greater acceptance for all parts of yourself and gently exploring what may have been pushed aside, silenced, or carried for too long. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent 20 years working with children and families within social work. That experience has shaped both who I am and how I understand people. During those years, I witnessed the extraordinary courage of those navigating trauma, grief and complexity, alongside the often unseen emotional weight carried by people in caring professions.I saw how deeply experiences can live in the body, how silence can grow around pain and how important it can be to have a space where you do not need to perform, explain everything perfectly, or hold everything together. My approach is integrative, relational and somatically informed. This means I draw from different therapeutic approaches rather than expecting every person to fit one particular model.Sessions with me are conversational and collaborative. Sometimes we might talk and reflect together. At other times we may notice what is happening in your body, explore patterns in relationships, use imagery or creativity, or simply give space to something that has never really had enough room before. At the heart of my practice is the belief that there is wisdom within us, even when we have lost touch with it. Therapy can offer a space to begin listening again.Training, Qualifications & ExperienceI am committed to ongoing personal and professional growth and regularly attend Continued Professional Development to stay attuned to new developments in the field.

I'm Ozzie
I’m a trainee counsellor who believes therapy works best when it feels human.I’m warm, curious, creative, and not especially interested in making therapy feel formal or stuffy. I use humour when it fits, I’ll gently challenge you when something feels worth looking at, and I’m always more interested in who you really are than who you think you’re supposed to be.I know how strange it can feel to sit down with someone and talk about the things you usually keep tucked away. That awkwardness is normal. It passes. You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what to say, and you do not need to present the polished version of yourself.I’m especially drawn to working with people who have felt like the outsider, the difficult one, the too much one, the not enough one, or simply someone who has spent a long time trying to fit into spaces that did not quite fit them.As a neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ counsellor, I care deeply about creating space where identity does not need to be explained, defended, or tidied up.I work creatively and relationally, and I’m interested in the patterns, relationships, and experiences that shape how we see ourselves. I believe people begin to heal when they are given enough space to accept all parts of themselves, not just the easy or appealing bits. What I love most about therapy is the connection. That moment when someone feels properly seen, understands something differently, or starts relating to themselves with a little more kindness can have a huge impact.Outside the therapy room, I’m happiest around animals, nature, games, creativity, and good conversation. I care a lot about authenticity, connection, freedom, curiosity, and living in a way that feels true rather than simply expected.
Those values sit at the heart of Wilde Element too.A space to understand yourself more deeply, reconnect with what matters, and feel a little more like yourself again.Training, Qualifications & ExperienceI am committed to ongoing personal and professional development and continue to build my practice through training, supervision, reflective work and continued professional development.CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling - Completing November

Elemental Workshops
Four elements. Four experiences.Wilde Element workshops are immersive, small group experiences inspired by Earth, Water, Air & Fire. Each element offers a different way to explore, create, connect and reflect through nature, sensory experience, conversation and carefully chosen activities. You do not need to be artistic, experienced in therapy, or particularly spiritual. Just curious.Earth
Stability, Roots, BodyA grounding, hands on workshop centred around connection to the body, nature and the physical world.Expect tactile and sensory experiences using clay, stones, soil and natural materials. There may be grounding practices, symbolic sculpting, sensory walks and simple rituals that invite you to slow down, notice more and reconnect with what feels steady underneath everything else.Water
Emotion, Flow, HealingA gentle, reflective workshop exploring emotion, movement and the idea of letting things shift rather than holding everything tightly in place.Using water inspired creative and sensory experiences, the session may include painting, sound, riverside reflection, symbolic release and visual ways of exploring how emotions move and change. The emphasis is on flow, expression and making space for whatever is present.Air
Breath, Voice, AwarenessA lighter, sensory workshop exploring breath, sound, attention and expression. The session may include guided breathing, listening practices, humming or simple vocal work, scent, sound and sensory exercises designed to bring awareness to the present moment. There may also be a creative element such as blending a scent or making a candle to take away as a reminder of the experience.Fire
Energy, Passion, ReleaseA warm, expressive workshop centred around transformation, storytelling and letting go.Expect experiences such as campfire storytelling, candle or fire bowl rituals, charcoal or mixed media work, music, movement and creative exercises exploring energy, identity and change.
